New Women’s Apron! Super Cute!!

So I have decided that I needed a little more cuteness in my women’s aprons.  My cousin Jessica let me borrow a pattern book that had some SUPER CUTE aprons in it and this is the fist one that I made.  Look at how feminine AND functional it turned out!  My favorite part is the straps!  they are 2 SUPER long shoulder straps that you crisscross over the back and pull through 2 little loops on the side.  you can tie them in the back or pull them in the front and tie them like shown in the picture.  The apron is fully lined and also has 2 darts in the front that totally make you feel thinner when you put it on! (I can verify this – I tried this apron on and immediately felt feminine and flirty!)  I LOVE this apron and am going out to make myself one later on!

***I also made another cute one with the same fabric, but I haven’t been able to find a model yet, so if you are willing to come model for me, let me know and I can post more pictures!! (you don’t even have to show your face! :) )

Awesome Reviews!

Read what these great customers had to say about my aprons! (And I promise they weren't paid to say anything!) ;)

Hi Aimie,

I am soooo sorry I didn't send you an email. I really meant to! The aprons are FABULOUS and now that we have them, my boys are asking me to help "cook" every day! I'm not sure if I should thank you or ask you to send over some kid friendly recipes! :)

We love them, they are PERFECT and we will keep you in our favorites as the boys grow!

Thanks again,

Stephanie

Hi Aimie!

I'm such a slacker...I meant to send these to you days ago! My kids love Love LOVE their new aprons! They actually wear them at dinner (since they are too old for bibs) and it works like a charm! My 5 year old especially loves to do the button himself. I'm attaching some pictures of them wearing the aprons. Feel free to use them on your website if you want...to show that BOYS like them too! :)

Thanks SO much!
Tamara

Don't you want one of your very own now???

The History of 'APRONS'

I got this from Aunt LeAnn and thought it was inspiring. :) Thanks LeAnn!!!

The History of  'APRONS'

I don't think our kids know what a real apron is.
The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath, because she only had a few,it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and they used less material, but along with that, it served as a potholder for  removing  hot pans from the oven.

· It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.

· From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.

· When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids.

· And when the weather was cold grandma wrapped it around her arms.

· Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.

· Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.

· From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables.

· After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls.

· In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.

· When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.

· When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the menfolks knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner.

· It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.

REMEMBER:

Grandma used to set her hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool.

Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw.
They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron.

I don't think I ever caught anything from an apron.

Men’s Sport Aprons

The one thing that my husband complained about whenever he tried to use one of my aprons was that it was 'girly' :) the second thing that he complained about, was that the waist ties never reached his waist! They always ended up tying around his ribs. Men’s torsos are usually longer than women’s. The aprons that we have around the house are usually for us women, and are just not meant to fit our men! Why not get your man an apron made just for him?
These aprons are made longer in the torso and wider across. Men's chests are broader also, so the narrow chest part of most aprons just doesn't cut it. These aprons will cover your man - so that weather they are at the grill or inside at the stove, their clothes will stay grease free!
This is a wonderful all-purpose apron. It has a wide neck band and 1 big pocket. It is large enough to cover his whole body and it is not girly!
This apron is totally reversible, and you can get one to match your child if you wanted!
These aprons are very well made and will last for a long time. There are also nice details that you won't find on a lot of aprons including detail stitching all along the edges.

You can get yours on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AimiesAprons

Boys can wear aprons too!!!

Look at these cute boys!! (Thanks Tamara for sending such cute pictures of your adorable boys!)

Tamara says “They actually wear them at dinner (since they are too old for bibs) and it works like a charm! My 5 year old especially loves to do the button himself.” and, the most important part - “BOYS like them too! :)”

If your little guy would like a cool apron, let me know!
